  1. Population and dissenters: We have two hundred Families in this Parish. We have only one dissenting Family in the Parish, & they are Presbyterian.

  2. Public or charity schools: We have no Charity=School; only a Common School to instruct Children to write, & read.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: There are several Alms=houses endowed with lands in this Parish. There are Feoffees from time to time for the management of them. I never heard of any frauds or abuses committed in the management of them.

  4. Residence upon cure: I allways spend some time of the year in this Parish; & allways in my Parsonage house.

  5. Curate: I have at present no Curate: I have intitld a young man whose name is Gould to the Cure of this Parish; but he is not yet in orders. I have allowed him thirty pounds yearly, with all the Surplice fees. I intend he shall live in the Parsonage : house.

  6. Divine service at other churches: I never perform Divine service at any Church besides my own; except for the assistance of a neighbour, upon seasonable occasions.

  7. Frequency of divine service: Divine service is perform’d in my Church twice every Lord’s day, with a sermon after morning, & Evening service. I cant answer for my Curate, whether he has observ’d all the Anniversary Feasts, & Fasts of the Church. He is settled in a Parish of his own in ye Deanry of Tavistock.

  8. Frequency of communion: The Holy Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is administred in my Church four times in the year. Viz: at the three great Feasts, & about Michaelmas.

  9. Number of communicants: I believe there may be about two hundred Communicants, fifty of which usually receive: I did not administer the last Easter, but from what I have observ’d the number is at all times the same, or thereabouts.

  10. Catechising of children: I always catechise the Children in the Parish where I reside the Summer. My Parishioners never send their Children nor servants who have not learnt their Catechism, to be instructed by me – it being the custom of the Country.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: There are no Chapels in this Parish, nor any I know of in ruins.
